Family

Family has always been at the heart of who I am, and I am incredibly proud of the family Erin and I have built together over nearly 27 years of marriage. Erin is an educator herself, having taught for 14 years, including third grade at Stoneridge Elementary, and now teaching second grade at Loomis Basin Charter School. Our children have each followed their own paths while embracing the values of hard work, service, and perseverance. Our oldest son, Zach, graduated from Oakmont High School and the University of Colorado Boulder and is now giving back as a third-grade teacher. Emma is a senior at Clemson University studying psychology and continues to spend her summers working at Foothill Horizons Summer Camp, a place she loves. Isabella is a senior at Oakmont High School and an elite rower who represented the U-19 U.S. Rowing team at the World Championships in Plovdiv, Bulgaria, this summer; she will attend Stanford University in the fall of 2027. I am deeply devoted to my family and incredibly proud of each of them. They have taught me that success is about much more than accomplishments—it is about supporting one another, working hard, serving others, and helping young people become the very best versions of themselves. Those are the same values I bring to my work as an educator and would bring to serving our community on the school board.

Community

Community service has always been an important part of my commitment to supporting young people and the communities they call home. I am currently in my second year as President of the Capital Crew Boosters, where I have worked to strengthen the organization not only through fundraising, but by building a stronger sense of community among athletes, families, coaches, and supporters. During my first year as president, we quadrupled our fundraising while placing a strong emphasis on bringing people together and creating a positive experience for our athletes. I have also spent many years coaching my own children in baseball, soccer, and basketball, experiences that have allowed me to mentor young people and reinforce the importance of teamwork, perseverance, and sportsmanship. Beyond coaching, I believe in being present and supporting our children by attending school events, performances, and activities. Community is built by showing up, giving back, and investing in our young people—and that is something I have always been committed to doing.
